Maggs' Moseley selection for Sunday's fixture looks very positive indeed... and it will need to be, because Nottingham are an exceptionally strong outfit this year. The front-row combination of Evans, Wilkes and Ethan Waller looks a strong scrummaging unit and our three-quarter line looks to be brimming with pace. After last week's display, it's particularly pleasing to see Billy Robinson retain the number 15 shirt, as his pace and counter-attacking flair adds a whole new dimension to the Moseley offensive game. Looking at the stats, Robinson started just one game at full-back last season - an improbable victory over London Welsh at Old Deer Park, and this season he has played at 15 in the victories over Llanelli, London Scottish (away) and Gala (he also started at 15 v Doncaster, but was moved to the wing after just 10 minutes, so that doesn't really count)... all of which bodes well for an exciting team performance against one of the very best teams in the division. Come on Mooooooooooooooose!

Come on Mose, give us your all and let's turn Nottingham over. WE CAN DO IT. Play to your strengths, Be patient, Don't panic, because we have a team that can win. We have come back against a few teams this season and have been so close to winning it's untrue. Coverdale has always said OUR team will give someone an unexpected spanking. Let it be Nottingham.
My heart tells me I would love to see a win Moseley, but my head says I am not holding my breath. I can't be there to cheer you on but, none-the-less, come on Mose, give us all a lovely, jubbly Christmas present. Come on Moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose.
Tried to check out if match still on but cannot get through to either Notts RFC or County FC. Nothing on NRFC website to say game off so assuming it will go ahead.
From the Notts site : Game Still On - Nottingham vs Moseley Nottingham's clash with Moseley at Meadow Lane on Sunday 23rd December is still on despite the heavy rainfall lashing the city in the last 24 hours.
Groundstaff are confident the match will go ahead even though Notts County's match was postponed.

Jersey beat Leeds and leapfrog us and Doncaster. There is no doubt about it we are now in a relegation dogfight. I have no doubt that we have the players and squad to pull us out but we need to get some results soon. Jersey in January is crucial. We need to put them away and walk off with that pitch with a bonus point. I would not be able to bear the irony of beating relegation in the play-off days only to drop when the play-off has been consigned to history.

Don't worry we'll get them back and survive. We'll beat Jersey and Donny when they come to us. Leeds must have been resting some players etc and taken the loss as part of the general campaign.
With the greatest of respect, that is exactly the sort of complacency which could see Moseley drop out of the Championship. Leeds are an inconsistent side, but Jersey are playing what is in front of them. If only Mose could do the same we might not be in this relegation dogfight. Every game, starting at Meadow Lane this afternoon must see a whole-hearted, committed performance from every single player and replacements. There is a big job to do, so let's do it.
Nottingham 18 - Moseley 9 Still lacking in attack BUT SO MUCH BETTER in all other departments. The pack played their hearts out which meant we did get some good ball. The scrum was ours! We did not keep on giving the ball away and first up tackling was for the most part a strength. I now feel, playing like this, that we will not go down. An excellent performance by everyone.
