The Moseley Rugby Club Supporters Association organised a coach at short notice to go up to Doncaster to see the Maori's play a Championship XV side and what a day it turned out to be. Released from the bond of worrying whether Moseley would win or loose we were able to enjoy the ocassion to the full. The KO was 12-05 so it meant an early start but everyone turned up on time. The journey up started in the rain and it looked as if we were in for a soggy day. The exit we had to get off at on the M18 was closed so we had to get off at the next one and find our way to the ground via an unfamiliar route. The coach park fee was £18!!!. But.... when we stepped out of the coach the Sun broke through the clouds and continued to shine throughout the day, the food in the ground was great, Cow Pie or Curry, the game was as good as could be wanted, our 2 Moseley lads playing really well and coming over to acknowledge us travelling fans after the final whistle, the Maories showing that the NZers really know how to play Rugby, and the 5000+ Fans in he ground showing what supporting sport should be all about with their friendlyness. Donny RFC in particular need praise for puttuing on such a well run game. And not to forget the MSA members who were on the coach. It was nothing but jokes and fun all day, this in a group that ranged in age from tots in their 20's to us pennsioners, everyone looking out for each other. Sometimes a spontaneous idea can be better than a military like organised ocassion and this was on of those ocassions. A truely great day with fanatically, like minded mates.
