Big response needed this week. Glad to see that Greg King is likely to be back in the squad. We are a much more organised team with him in the midfield and Shaggy at the back.

Not sure when we last beat Nottingham at home, certainly don't think we have at at Billesley. Let's put that right this Saturday.

I wouldn't put my house on Greg King taking the field. It takes time for a ligament injury such as he had to mend properly.

With the exception of Greg King this is arguably our strongest lineup. We seem to have some good depth amongst the threequarters but up front I feel we look relatively weak in terms of cover for the back 5.

Maybe after tomorrow we'll have a better idea of our hopes for the season.

I think you are largely right, Gary. I also think that when Greg King does return to fitness that he should play at 12 because of his high-class distribution skills, while Charlie Hayter should be moved to the outside-centre channel where he can exploit his superior pace. However, I remain unconvinced by the defensive qualities of Mogensen on the wing, who in spite of his speed seems to lack the physicality to cut it in the Championship. Personally I felt that his defensive and attacking frailties were badly exposed against Bedford last week and as CJB1 suggested in the aftermath, he might be best replaced by Billy Robinson, who started almost every game last season... unless he's injured of course.
You are spot on with your concerns about the lack of depth in the pack, particularly at prop and second-row. I see from the dual registrations that Tom Warren is back at prop, but I thought that he remained badly injured and was a long way from recovery. Does anyone have an update on this?
Anyway, if our forwards can win enough ball for Maggsy's back division to really catch fire, I reckon we can give anyone a run for their money. Watch out Dean Richards!

So on today's viewing it would look like Hilts is with a pack he can't work with, as he didn't choose it, and Maggs has a set of backs which will be starved of ball because of it. I can't see us winning a game with cards and injuries, the squad is too shallow
