Who is likely to be Promoted from NL1?

Folks looking at the NL1 Table does it mean we have to travel to Jersey RFC if they win their league? I am thinking of logistics and the costs to the club and the fans?

Meanwhile congrats to the Mose 1st XV for the brilliant win again. We are at the top of the Pool C and most of all safe!!! ;D

I believe there is an RFU subsidy in place that covers a proportion of the costs to away games in Jersey.

There is a subsidy, but the normal kick off time means an overnight stay as the last flight out leaves too early. I doubt the subsidy would extend to the MSA coach.

Jersey are the more professional of the two in contention; Ealing having been promoted only last year feel it may be too soon.

From a purely selfish put of view I'd like to see Ealing come up as it provides me with another 'home' game to go to. Also I'd like to see how their running-rugby translates in the Championship and how the prolific Phil Chesters gets on too. My wish seems destined not to happen though tis time around so i'm already thinking about flights to Jersey.

Having seen nearly every side play twice I'd have to say I'd be surprised if Jersey weren't promoted... But I think unless they invest heavily they will struggle in the championship.

If its anything to go by I don't think the NCA funding covered the whole cost of the team traveling so I'd guarantee that the RFU won't cover cost of supporters traveling. When we went it clashed with some music festival so flights were all over double what they are for any other random weekend.

It was a great weekend anyway and I'd highly recommend anyone who's on the edge about going to go. I'm seriously considering going next season for a championship game even though we're now sadly in N2.

Headline on BBCRugby website today. Nice to know the Championship is considered 'oblivion' by BBC journalist. We could do with more 'big names' coming down & not getting straight back - RFU might show a bit more interest in the Championship then.

I'm sorry to say - I'm not sure who's in the playoff to go up to Premiership - presume Bristol are only team, qualified to do so anyway.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if Falcons finish bottom, Wasps go into administration and the Champs of the Championship don't meet the promotion criteria!
