I was about to comment...I wonder how long it will be for HQ to follow the round ball game with changes that only benefit top clubs Answer: less than 24 hours! Totally unfair for the "Cashless Three" to be given a free lift into the Prem II after their failure to manage finances blah bkah blah Ido hope The Championship reps and National Lge Chairs reject this move and demand the Wasp is swotted, the Warrior defeated and the Exiles exiled to their deserved 8th (?) Tier status to begin again.

Perhaps there will be space in Prem II to accommodate a South African side and/or a club financed by a Middle Eastern state? RFU - not fit for purpose!
Following the the recent round ball ruling, it becomes clear that there is no need for clubs to be part of the RFU. The RFU has removed support for grass roots rugby (trying to induce death by considerably fewer than 1,000 cuts) and funnelled funding into the Premiership with the result of three clubs failing to be able to meet their liabilities. Let the RFU look after the Premiership (and maybe the Championship) and let's see a proper, new governing body which cares about, and has some understanding of, rugby union in England.
Ever since the 1995 World Cup, the RFU has struggled to govern the game in England properly. Time for a new broom and let the RFU wither on the vine.
