We have recently learned that the Birmingham Mail will no longer be carrying reports on our home matches. While this is disappointing news, it does not come as much of a surprise as their interest in rugby generally has been declining for some time.
However, it does mean that we need to find a reporter (or reporters) from within our own ranks for both home and away games. Ideally you will be able to attend all games, and have an eye for detail, being able to take notes during the games and write them up promptly afterwards. Match reports should be about 500 words long, should mention all significant events including scores and scorers, and provide an impression of the ebb and flow of the match. Criticism of the officials should not be prominent in reports!
Birmingham Mail have also indicated that they will consider printing reports sent in to them, so there may be the opportunity to see your name in print!
To indicate your interest (no prior experience required), please contact the Moseley Matters editorial team by replying to this post.
Thanks in advance, Chris and Peter (editorial team).
