1st XV Captain and Fan Favourite will lead the way again

Adam Balding, Birmingham Moseley Director of Rugby, is pleased to confirm that back row Ollie Stedman will again be leading the team out onto the pitch as 1st XV Captain.
In his first season at the club Ollie brought his considerable experience of rugby at the highest levels in England to bear, as he accepted the captain’s role, leading by example throughout the season.
Almost ever present last season Ollie made 24 starts, leading the teams try scoring table with 11. At the end of the season he picked up the Supporters and Players Player of the season awards. The recognition of his exceptional season was not just confined to within the club as National League Rugby awarded him the National One Player of the Season in the Number 8 position.
Director of Rugby Adam said “After making a huge impact after the first year at Billesley Common Ollie will continue to lead the team as Captain, quickly becoming a fan favourite with a number of stellar performances throughout the 2022/23 season, as such an influential character within the squad Ollie has certainly grown into the role of captain whilst leading the team right from the front. Retaining Ollie’s services for another season shows the clear direction we are wanting to move in.”
