Unfortunately Dan Lewis has had to postpone his season debut for the club due to picking up a knock in training but is expected to be fit for January games
Doesnt start well with ball direct into touch from Mose k.o Doesnt start well when sin bin after 15 mins for continuous infringements. Doesnt bode well with lineout infringements count. Doesnt bode well with another direct into touch from post Cinders try. But we scored a try! Were leading 13-7...last 20mins did for us?

Mr Preece scored twice. Plymouth and Bishop's Stortford lost so think we remain 12th. Happy Christmas everyone, stay safe and well, here's to a better 2022.

Lack of belief Phil, we played some good stuff, but fell apart when Cinderford got back in the game, and in fairness to them they made it count. I can’t quite understand with the clear talent that’s in the backs, it’s just not gelling/working.
Oh dear and I had a gut feeling Moseley that would sneak a win today. And if Moseley were leading 13 - 7 with 20 to go what on earth went wrong?
And I couldn't even pick up any tweeting either.
So sad, so very, very sad.

Cinderford RFC had an excellent tweeting service all afternoon as long as you don't mind questionable SPAG.
A fully fit and recognised number 10 might just get everything to click in 2022 (although there must be a significant level of doubt as to what 2022 is going to look like for all of us...)

We need to be careful in seemingly looking forward to the return of injured squad. It may take 2 or 3 matches for them to be fully match day fit especially with the heavier pitches more than likely, by which time we could be in a real dog fight down "there".
We all know Cinderford's game plan. It was obvious in the 2 pre season friendlies and once again on Saturday. They are simply far more streetwise than us. Some positives from the game but we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot as, not shown in the highlights, we butchered some throw ins inside their 22. I think the coaches really need to start to get their acts together. There is no doubt we have some tremendous players but poor tactics and/or the inability to change them to adapt to the opposition's game plan is hurting us.

I am deeply concerned at the loss on Saturday and hearing the referee constantly picking out the Moseley number 6 - whoever it was - didn't help.
As andyj alludes to the coaches need to get their act together after all we do have a core of good players.
My deepest concern is not so much the dog fight at the relegation end of the table - after all Moseley have been in that scrap since Adam was a lad - pardon the pun - but that the better players will get fed up of being in a losing team and start looking afield. They may not be looking to want to paly championship rugby rather they simply and understandable, want the pleasure of winning now and again. Once that thought plan gets set in a players mind there is every chance they will delay signing on and jump ship / retire sooner than later.
All we loyal supporters can do is continue our loyal support - and there is little doubt that will continue - but we do want to see the team win more than they lose. As I have said before as long as Moseley, or any team for that matter put in a good performance there is no shame in losing but losses with a clear two score or more difference are becoming the norm of late. And when that difference comes after leading at some point then the discomfort is even more acute.
Something is clearly wrong and from my humble observations that would appear to be primarily up front.
But that view does not let the backs off the hook because again in my view, defence particularly the midfield defence, has been questionable all season.
There is also a questionable link between the forwards and the threequarters because when the forwrds do win good front foot ball the backs are not ready to exploit it and the moment is often lost.
Ball retention, particularly in the tackle is a key element and here Moseley lose too much momentum with knock ons. I know it is easy for us supporter to criticise handlig - we are not in the heat of the action - but these irritaing occasions on field do foster frustration - it can be seen the way players react - and when that happen time after time in the same game as well as week in week out then that becomes un underlying reoccuring issue.
Add on to that the number of players who either sail too close to the wind and infringe regularly, or simply do not know playing regulations then some serious team selection needs to be considered.
A loose, high calibre cannon big hitting player is one thing, but for others it becomes a liability.
The fact that Moseley lost again - and allowed a 5 pointer to 0 loss to boot is so sad, so very sad.
Repeating the often made comment, yet again, let us hope that the the Chritmas break will allow the injured players in the squad to get over their injury problems. Then with a full strength squad to select from let us hope that the start to the post Christmas season well start - but continue - in the same way as the opening weeks started.

To really understand the situation that Moseley are in , supporters need to be aware with the rehashing of the league's next year, Moseley could be playing Newport, Bromsgrove, Bridgnorth, which is no disrespect to those clubs just a harsh reality check of where Moseley are going.
Sounds interesting the new league set up and have not read the info re opposition as detailed - if we're to be in that situation. I think our message has to be " we ain't goin' any place" and leave it up to the squad to prove us right!
A lot of emphasis is being placed on the return of currently injured players. We have clearly suffered a disproportionately high number of injuries and at the Q&A session I think Adam mentioned several during the game against Taunton. Some of these players were back against Cinderford and did make a difference but maybe expectations are too high. Adam inferred at the Q&A that we might not see either of the props that were on loan from Worcester with Kai now at Doncaster and Joe effectively third choice at Worcester. He also mentioned that Greg and Reketi were more involved with Wasps. Maybe we need some additional players beyond Dan and Aled to bolster the squad.
It is a real blow to lose Will Safe. Also we now know why Jacob Frewtrell has been missing. Again this is a major blow as he was playing with real authority. Is it now time for reinforcements?
