Birmingham Moseley supporters will be excited to hear club favourite Jacques Le Roux will be pulling on the red and black again having left the club in January 2020, due to work commitments, to move to South Africa.
Portuguese International Jacques made 81 appearances for the club over four seasons. Known for his trademark powerful ball carrying it was a sad day for all when he announced he would be leaving. So highly thought of at the club he was told the door would always be open to return and now, back from South Africa, there was of course only one place to pick up his rugby career.
Joining Jacques in the back row we welcome Liam Munro from Broadstreet. Liam brings with him considerable local experience of high level rugby having played for Coventry in the Championship, Stourbridge and Rugby Lions. Liam has represented Warwickshire on many occasions including packing down in the back row alongside new signing Sam McNulty at Twickenham for the Bill Beaumont County Championship Div 2 Final.
Any good back row will tell you they can only play well off a solid engine room in the second row and Rob Fuller fits the bill perfectly. 6’ 8” 19 stone Rob was due to play for the club in 2020/21, on a season long loan from Hartpury, which unfortunately never took place due to the season’s cancellation. This time he has decided to become a fully signed up Birmingham Moseley player and will be looking to make a big impression on supporters and opposition defences.
Rob will be very familiar with our other second row signing as Scotland U20 international Harry Butler also makes the move from Hartpury to Billesley Common. Twenty one year old Harry, moved to Gloucester Academy from London Irish and subsequently gained Premiership Cup experience there before playing for Hartpury in the Championship, where he studied Sports Business Management. At 6’ 6” and nearing 18 stone he will add another physical presence to the pack.
