Birmingham Moseley bring on the attacking force

Birmingham Moseley Rugby is pleased to announce that centre/fly half Ollie Allsopp will be returning to the club next season. Ollie left at the end of the 2018/2019 season to join Championship side London Scottish having made 40 appearances over two seasons. Ollie earned a permanent starting place in the side during his time at Billesley but unfortunately found that chances to prove himself at the Athletic Ground were limited. He was however able to showcase his talent making a number of guest appearances for Harlequins in the Premiership A League. We are delighted to see him back in the red and black.

Moseley has a great fan base and atmosphere, i really enjoyed my previous 2 seasons at the club and I’m also excited about Adams vision for Moseley moving forward.
I believe I'm returning a stronger player than 2 years ago and I’m looking forward to what the future holds and the season that lies ahead".

Another centre signed up for his third season at the club is Lance Corporal Ravai Fatiaki. Ravai a serving solder in the Royal Signals is renowned for his hard running and excellent skill on the ball. With 32 appearances under his belt for Birmingham Moseley and a career that has included the British Army, Premiership and Fijian International experience we are sure he will again be a big influence in midfield.

A player with pace to burn donning the red and black jersey again next season is winger Aquile Smith. Since joining from Hartpury at the start of last season Aquile has ensured his name is one of the first on the team sheet making 23 appearances during the shortened 25 match season and scored 11 tries, including a brace of hat tricks against Hull and Bishops Stortford. His early form last season saw him pick up the RFU Level 3&4 player of the month award for September. We look forward to him lighting up the touch line again this season.

Obviously no speed limits along the line for Aquile then?!

As long as Aquile gets plenty of ball he will be priceless. He is an exciting player to watch - attacking and defending. It all started off well for him last season but then, as the season went on, he saw less and less of the ball. He must have been so frustrated at times. He reminds me of the last flying winger we had a couple of seasons ago, Williams. He too was worth his weight in Gold.

Squad really coming together with some good additions. On the assumption that Buster is off to another club (I do hope people are wrong) and Jacques definitely gone I think we could do with a couple of additional high profile back row players assuming AJ is going to feature as a hooker in any games he plays.

I think Ryan Roach did too. Two good players returning with added experience from higher levels.

The squad is certainly looking stronger than last season.
