Birmingham Moseley Front Up for the New Season

Continuing with the announcement of players committing to Birmingham Moseley, a veritable scrum of front rowers have signed for the 2020/2021 season.
The first of those players is Joe Foreman, a loose head prop. Joe joined from Birmingham and Solihull last season and very quickly found his feet at this level, making a contribution in almost every game of the season. He started on 10 occasions and became a very reliable impact player a further 13 times. He will be seeking to build on that this year making the loose head berth a very competitive position.
Ethan Priest, a young talent who can prop on both sides of the scrum, has already demonstrated his ability by representing England Counties. Ethan had only limited game time last season, spending much of the campaign on loan to Bromsgrove, a club where previously he had been their stand out player. Adam Balding, Director of Rugby, sees great potential in Ethan and with Ashley Johnson taking a coaching role he will be able to grow his skills and push for a starting role.
The third member vying to take the loose head position is soldier Nathaniel Titchard-Jones a Sergeant serving in 1st Signal Regiment, The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. The Army had a big role to play filling a number of positions last season and having a player with National representative experience in the front line brought much needed stability to the scrum. We look forward to that continuing this year.
Another player bringing vast experience again to the pack is tight head James Tideswell. Following playing Premiership rugby at London Welsh and London Irish James chose to make Billesley Common his home as he starts his fourth season at the club, where he will again be looking to be the anchor of the pack.
Packing down in-between these props will be young hooker Will Biggs who re-signs for his second campaign. On joining the club last season Will was probably not expecting to find himself called on to fill the role of first choice for the number two shirt, but when Army hooker Peter Austin incurred a long term injury Will stepped up, dispelling any concerns of a lack of experience at this level making 17 appearances, 14 of them in the starting XV. Will is another player who will gain massively from the coaching of Ashley Johnson.
Our final front row signing is someone we are very pleased to announce is returning to Birmingham Moseley for a second spell at hooker. Ryan Roach was an integral member of the squad in 2017/18 & 2018/19 and supporters were very disappointed to learn that he was moving to Ealing Trailfinders last season. The call of the Common has proved too much for Ryan and he will be back for his third season with us.
Ryan commented:
“It’s great to be back at Moseley! Last season was a difficult one for myself with injuries early on, so can’t wait to get back out on the field as I’m feeling great and raring to go.
Was easy choice to come back to the club. I loved my 2 seasons here and missed the atmosphere and the fans especially! Looks like a really good setup here with Adam and the rest of the staff. Just looking forward now to meeting the rest of the team”.

if he doesn't*, then in the nicest possible way it should have been our players going to Wasps (this season, I'm not thinking about Buster) rather than the other way around...
