Premiership discussions taking place. I gotta' feeling RFU are guarding against litigation and preparing a very carefully worded ruling.

Of course The Premiership clubs have a big say in what happens in Nirvana...

I have no idea how they plan to resolve this season. It seems fair to promote Newcastle, despite the fact that I really don’t like Dean Richards, as they haven’t lost a game so far. Canterbury and Hull are already relegated and Caldy promoted from Nat 2 North. It gets much trickier when you look at the top of our Division. Arguably it could be Richmond but I am sure Park would argue against that move. Nat 2 South looks also far from obvious with at least 4 teams in with a shout.
The Rugby Paper has mentioned a pools panel - I would guess that just might end in the courts.
I don’t envy the RFU.

My view, and totally unauthorised, is that the RFU probably will not promote or relegate this season, that will upset plenty, and understandable, but the RFU don’t seem to give two hoots about anything apart from themselves and the prem.

I always respected Newcastle for accepting the outcome of London Welsh's legal challenge for promotion.

Welsh rugby has said no promotion or relegation, but then they don't have a Saracens issue.

Based on some forecasts we could just pick up where we left off at this time next year.
