Thanks for the info - might come and watch this instead of Oak (as they're now at Walsall - see previous posting). Is the plan for Vikings to play on the all weather if the forecast is correct? 3pm ko?
As per other thread, I don't think the all-weather is match-fit. Wolfie will be inspecting the pitches some time before noon to see how playable they are, so if there is a real drowning risk we can give Spartans a heas-up before they start travelling.
Wolf and I have just checked the pitches on the Common and don't think either of them are safe, so the game is postponed. There are some parts of both pitches where the surface is ideal; unfortunately there are also large areas of standing water (up to the ankle in places) and boggy parts just aching to capture a runner's foot and bugger their leg up.
....agree...but did you see BT...Glos v Wasps....a fantastic dive for the line by Glos..20 yards out...but he still slid over the line in atrocious conditions and with 2 Wasps on his shoulders!!!
