some regulars not in the team.are there some injuries or is it unavailability or some rested. Can"t make the game, come back with 5 points, come on Mose......
Visiting our daughter in Canada so not at the match. Can someone please add a report. Looking at Twitter there seems to be some negative comment on a final decision but not clear what may have happened.

was"nt at the game but reading a post on Rolling Maul by a Caldy supporter we were the better side.At the end we managed to get a free kick and decided to take the scrum but got pushed off our ball and conceded a penalty which they kicked and that was 80 minutes .
Went to Caldy on Saturday aboard the MSA coach. A very pleasant set up and decent facilities. The game itself was a tight affair with both teams missing opportunities to put points on the board. Caldy through missed conversions and penalties and Mose through mistakes and wrong decisions in our opponents 22.
On to the last play of the game. Caldy had possession and were going through phase after phase but Moseley’s resolute defence kept them at bay in our 22. Caldy’s fly half decides to change tact and puts a loose kick up in the air and is caught and marked by Sam Brown?? After this the watch is stopped so that Mose/Caldy players can receive some treatment. We understand that there is 10 seconds left on the watch. To our utter dismay we realise that we have chosen to scrum and attempt to run down the clock, bearing in mind that our scrum has only had parity all day and our front row our visibly out on their feet. Cue the first scrum which goes down and is reset. The second scrum sees Caldy march us backwards and a home penalty is given and scored. Caldy 21 - Mose 20. Gutted!!!
Wasn't there, leehumph, but sounds the kind of game to be watching rather than the Sari' Quins serving I had to endure with my Lemsips!!
RU has to be careful. They have let the unfair non-straight scrums to develop into an acceptable habit and there are increasing occasions when players question the referees decision when at one time 10 yards was a certainty. Especially in the Premiership I have a fear that referees are becoming very aware of the 4th official and ground screen replays of incidents and are letting the players off with back chat and questioning many decisions. Forgive me for bringing 'those up there' onto our noticeboard but these diseases are catching and we have to believe that, while we have no tmo upstairs, Level 3 doesn't copycat the antics of top level players. Discipline has been a great trade mark of RFU with round ball fans looking on in admiration lets hope that great part of our game does not deteriorate into face to face ref v player confrontations!

The only real confrontation with the referee was not from a player. If the ref puts in a report of verbal abuse, a familiar face may be missing from the gantry for a while...
Perhaps, Owain, the confrontation issues came out of a frustrating game that seemed to spend over 12 minutes of time with the clock stopped and players seeking (what seemed to me) in depth explanation of his decisions. As one referee stated a little while ago to players words to the affect that it is the coaches job to teach the rules to players and the referees to interpret the LAWS.
Anyway - BMRFC have a rest after Wednesday so time to get things right for next home game!
The News Letter report 're lose at Caldy give a thumbs down to the decision to take the scrum on 80 mins...I wasn't there...but to me much safer to endeavour to retain possession with scrum rather than kick..potentially giving the ball away for Caldy to mount a last ditch raid ....all well and good if we don't infringe but as we know we did and did lose the match....so not moving on from this what are thoughts from the terraces to my view.. ps watch your language this is a family News Letter!!!!
I wasn`nt there and easy to say in hindsight but I would have hoofed it as far down the pitch as possible and the pressure would be on Caldy to keep possession and not give any penalty and get into our 22.
