In these financially challenging times I've got a few comments about sponsorship. On the new website there is very little acknowledgement of our sponsors. Obviously we don't want the website all cluttered up with rubbish but a simple banner at the bottom or right hand side might be good, and a good way of 'selling' the club to potential sponsors.
Second on the sponsorship page of the website (under commercial) the first line say's 'Moseley is proud to be associated with an exciting list of dynamic and forward thinking companies. Click here for a full list.' When you click it takes you to the season ticket page. Not a good way of selling the club. I realise that the website is being slowly upgraded but perhaps updating this might be a priority.
Third player sponsorship is £300. This is fine but a bit much for an individual to stump up in these hard times. Perhaps the MSA website could include an online donating section were people could give as much money as they could afford which would go towards sponsoring players ... and ultimately help the club financially. There could even be a section for voting on which players to sponsor....I'm not sure what the tax implications of this would be but perhaps something to think about?
As I have just read through my MM and seeing the adverts still there for sponsorship, I just wondered when the website will be updated for our current sponsors as we are half way through the season? I can't see that the management will attract any more whilst they are not acknowledging the companies who have already signed up/paid their money. In the current economic climate finding sponsors is tough, when we do secure some the least the club can do is promote them.
