Really good turnout for the Mackelsfield game with 52 of the 53 seats on the away coach filled and lots of other Fans travelling independently. (one of the highlights of the day was on the coach when we unexpectedly met the team coach, which had left 2 hours before us but been caught up in traffic jams on the M6 while we had taken the A34, at an island 2 miles from the ground and finished turning up in convoy at the gate to their surprise, impressive. The other was the final kick of the game to convert our penalty try and steal a win.). Our Fans were mega in support and this was acknowledged by Macclesfield who were equally gracious in defeat. A really nice club to visit. Thanks for the warm hospitality. Next 2 away trips are to Harpbury and for the hottest game of the season to old rivals COVENTRY!!!!!! We definitely need all the support we can get for this one. And it's a Christmas warmer. (When we win). There are already 30+ seats booked on each coach today so don't miss out, book now. Again, thanks for the Mackelsfield support, I'm sure it more than helped the team to get the win. Come on you Mooooose and Mose Fans.

Now then MSA. Was there a good reason why the Moseley supporters had to travel to Hartpury on an inferior coach, a coach which, according to Pam, was filthy outside, grubby and uncomfortable on the inside, had some seat belts which were not operating and did not have a toilet? The fact that the journey was only a short one should not be an excuse to put up with inferior transport and I sincerely hope that today is not a taste of things to come. Moreover, the coach fee was £10 today. Was there any particular reason why a substandard coach attracted a double the normal £5 MSA supporters charge?

In addition to a grubby travelling experience Pam was also more than a little put out by some supporters at the back of the coach who were expressing their need for "a wee" in language not suited for family use. There are times and places for a crude reference to the need for "a wee" but a coach, where the fairer sex is well represented, is not one of them.

Phil, £5 is *not* the MSA standard charge. We paid £10 to go to Macclesfield, and to Ampthill. Cov is just a very short trip and to change more would be silly. The coach today seemed fine, and an on-board loo wasn't worth it with Strensham services halfway home.

Hi phillhall. From the feedback I got on the day it seemed to me that of the 48 Fans that travelled 97.92% were happy. I see that Pam is also booked on the Coventry coach which will also be from the same company to keep down cost. Does she therefore want to cancel to avoid the unpleasantness of having to travel on such, in her opinion, an inferior coach? We have people on the waiting list for cancellations.

Phil, yes the coach was dirty on the outside yesterday but i'm not sure how this would affect the journey to Hartpury and back. Ken did and does an amazing job to organise coaches at affordable prices. The costs have shot up this year and we are on average charging £10 per person per coach (as per previous away trips). Everybody seems happy with that. The £10 does not usually cover the hire costs and therefore as you state we do subsidize the coaches.Of course we cpuld run all the coaches at a substantial loss and charge just a fiver per person but after bout 3 away games we would have to stop running any coaches at all, as we'd have no money! We pay for the coaches in advance not on the day. There were some empty seats on the coach and Pam and John could quite easily moved to a seat with a working seat belt.
As for the lack of toilet, well if we have a toilet on the coach you actually pay more. So to keep prices down on such a short run we decided to go without.In fact a couple of people told me they had more leg room without a toilet on the coach
As for the lavatorial comments / humour then all Pam had to do was approach a committee member or say something.Surely it would have been better to say something and deal with it there and then, rather than wait and post things on the message board!!!
As Ken states same company to Coventry so let us know if you want to taken off as we do have people on a waiting list happy to travel with us

I can only go on what Pam told me but we will be keeping our booking. As regards to the coach being dirty one would have thought that company ( coach ) pride would have kick in and every effort made to present a clean and tidy coach no matter what age or colour the coach is. Even WMPTE busses get an inside and outside cleaning now and again.

Phil. Admittidly the outside wasn't spotless but could not see anything wrong with inside. Thought myself the comfort etc was as good if not better than BI coaches.

Thanks Comms, the MSA are delighted with the take up on coaches this season so thanks from us to all the supporters who have traveled with us.

Can everybody travelling on the 2 coaches to Coventry this coming Saturday please make sure they come to the clubhouse before we leave, so that we can allocate which coach they are travelling on
Also, don't forget breakfast and drinks will be available in the clubhouse before we depart
