As a bit of fun does anyone fancy predicting/suggesting the starting line-up for the match against Roth? I haven't been to any of the pre-season games so don't feel qualified to do so myself. I'm not sure about the best centres, second row and 9&10 combinations - anyone willing to shed some light?
Just a bit of fun as I've only managed to go to one preseason game so pure guesswork! Of course it will depend on how many dual registered players are available so I would be amazed if I get more than 50% right!
Here goes. 1-15 as follows:- Warren, A.N.Other, Evans, Hill, Powell, Hafu, Robinson, Brightwell, Brown, Browne, Williams, King, Owen, Armstrong, Penn
Now if we all stick a pound in the pot. The winner is the person who gets the most players correct. Winner takes all but must donate all winnings to the Moseley Supporters Association.
1. Tom Warren 2. Rhys Buckley 3. Ben Evans 4. Cory Hill 5. Mike Powell 6. Neil Mason 7. Olly Robinson 8. Chris Brightwell 9. Sam Brown 10. Caolan Ryan 11. Matt Williams 12. Anthony Carter 13. Greg King 14. Scott Armstrong 15. Mike Penn
I think the pack pretty much picks itself, and whilst I assume we have Glynn and Day available from Saints I would give Sam Brown the nod.
Caolan Ryan looks a real prospect at 10, and will probably get the nod given Ollie T's injury, and the fact that Scot Browne is not a confirmed signing (yet)!
Will Hafu may be the answer at 12, but he looked short of match fitness, and I'm not sure Will Owen or Greg King are natural 12s. Anthony Carter is very solid there in defence so will get my nod.
Williams, Armstrong and Penn as a back 3 is the most attacking and proven I can remember us being able to feed - so there you go.
Have to sat Professor, I like your team. i never factored in the kicking aspect and without Ollie T, it seems very natural to have Caolan in the No.10 spot
professor! - that is why you are called the professor - because I think you've got it.
It looks good to me. I am presuming Buster is out injured? I'd have him in place of waggy if fit. We don't know any DR options - but hopefully some real impact off the bench anyway. We may need to nurse waggy this year.
The first 15 looks strong to me - if we can just avoid injuries.
So excited - on coach & not even considering defeat. Come on U Moes.
