MOSELEY RUGBY CLUB
*****PRESS RELEASE******
18-Sept-2012
“Moseley v Plymouth – A purist’s encounter both on and off the field!”
RFU Championship Saturday Sept 22nd @ 3pm. Billesley Common, Birmingham B13 0PT
Saturday’s potentially thrilling encounter this Saturday between Moseley and a resurgent Plymouth Albion at Billesley Common will be one for the purists.
Moseley will be buoyant by the win in the Channel Islands last weekend but Plymouth will be equally confident having defeated Leeds by 32-31 on the same day to go third in the embryonic league table.
Steadily improving performances in a more expansive style of play suggest that the best is yet to come from Moseley and with two teams committed to running rugby, this game should be one for both sets of supporters and neutrals to savour.
The home crowd will look forward to seeing last weekend’s hat trick hero Charlie Haytor (centre), deadly kicker Ollie Thomas and stand out flanker Ben Pons while for Plymouth, new head coach Nat Saumi has brought in an impressive international second row pairing of Brett Beukeboom (Canada) and Rupeni Nasiga (Fiji).
Five Real Ales for the purist
There were five fixtures between the clubs last season and to complement this there will be a choice of five Real Ales available: Ruddles Best, Greene King IPA, Old Golden Hen, Greene King IPA Gold and Moorland Original.
Corporate hospitality boxes are available for this (and future matches) at a very reasonable £599 which includes (for 12 people) admission, quality hot buffet, preferred parking, match day programmes, waiter service bar facility – and a great view. More details on all the above on the club website www.moseleyrugby.co.uk
