Let's hope there is a bit of a backlash this weekend, we really owe them one after they put 80 points past us in the two meetings last season, and I think I am right in saying we haven't beaten them since we gained promotion into this division, time to change that stat....
Two extremely memorable victories over Nottingham spring to mind ale. Firstly a bonus-point win over Easter weekend in 2007 if I remember correctly? Those vital 5 points arguably saved us from relegation in our first season in National 1. The second was our first game with DR players from Gloucester - can't quite remember the score, but our first game of the 2007/08 season if I remember correctly. A team including Matt Williams, Mark Foster, Jack Adams, Matt Jones, James Ireland to name but a few...
I agree however, it has certainly been too long since we've taken points from our nearest Championship neighbours!
You're quite right professor. Our last two wins over Nottingham were both in 2007. The home win was on 7th April (38-32) and the away (28-21) on 2nd September.
Thanks Ewart for clarifying that, so it looks like we have gone 8 games without a win against Nottingham which is upsetting to say the least... For us, probably a very big game, take the points 4 or even better 5 and board the plane to double the quota the next week, if we fail in the first quest, we already know that Jersey have a BIG FAT MARKER PEN on that fixture to start their campaign.
