How about officials from various clubs getting together to arrange a West Mids 7s tournament involving teams from Moseley, Coventry, Stourbridge, Bees and Dudley? Such a precusor to the main season might generate interest in rugby union in the area and enhance income within the clubhouse. After all we do seem to have a good record of developing 7s players and now have Mr Hunt in our ranks.
Trouble is coaches don't seem to like pre season tounaments such as this as they interfere with preparations for the forthcoming season pulling away certain members of their squads . Also we do have the Gt Bham 7's (in Memory of Aaron Boyce) for local clubs after the end of the season but his year I don't think it was well attended.

It was cancelled due to insufficient entries this year. Very sad, as it's been quite well patronised in previous years.
