Summed it up well CJB, a bit scrappy but job done, 5 points, sometimes you just have to take it and move on. Injury to Ben Morris didn’t help and inviting Cindy into out 22, where they have most success.I thought Southgate was excellent and the line out was much better. On to Blackheath.
I enjoyed the match win yesterday. I thought Moseley were better than the score suggests. Moseley dominated up front for the better part of the game and our threequarters, although not as dominant as the forwards, still gave Cinderford plenty to think about.
To their credit Cinderford defended quite well througout the match effectively stopping Moseley from scoring more than a couple of times. I also felt that the Cinderford catch-and-drive was still a forminable force but, unfortunately for them, so is the Moseley forwards defence against it these days. And whilst I'm mentioning the Cinderford catch-and-drive I do feel that had they persisted with their first catch-and-drive in the Moseley stand side top corner they might very well have scored. Instead they chose to peel off from the back of the drive and lost the momentum and the opportunity.
I thought the Moseley discipline overall, with just one moment of discent in the second half which cost them 10 yards, was much better than of late. Thank you team Moseley. Keep it going.
I also feel that Jack Jolly is developing well with his goal kicking role and that, along with Freddie Painter gives us good cover at scrum half. What with Jack Jolly and his goal kicking and Freddie Painter with his typical sniping runs Moseley realy do have wonderful options at scrum half. Moreover, that quality along with an equally brilliant Ollie Allsop at number 10 along with a quality pool of three quarters - and not forgetting all our forwards - is begining to gell together well. Let us hope and pray that all these lads will stay with Moseley for the forseable future.
Although Pam I wont be at Blackheath next week we naturally wish the lads well.

I also enjoyed the game. Line out much improved with Harry Butler outstanding. The pack were dominant despite no Ollie Stedman and Ben Morris suffering an injury early in the game. Felt we left a few points on the pitch by kicking the ball through rather than keeping it in hand. Really impressed with Dan Brough at 15. He looked dangerous every time he got the ball. Did Ben go off with concussion?
