An example of True Grit from The Bears of Warwickshire County Cricket Club yesterday on the 4th day of County game v Hampshire. After just one win all season they reached day 4 odds on favourite to be relegated to Division 2. An amazing effort turned over the final afternoon in their favour winning by 5 runs! This is a days cricket well worth watching on replay on You Tube. A motivational 6 hours of play for all to learn from. The Bears have been plagued all season with injuries to senior squad players. Just shows with effort, focus and patience the most difficult of situations/circumstances can be changed. A lesson for all.

Brilliant to see Ryan Roach back on bench. I feel & have quoted on here before (fingers crossed) the lineout appears to operate better with Ryan involved.

I picked the first two days to go with no work, which was disappointing, but agree to catch up from the live stream yesterday was great. Come on Mose and Bears.

Agree on Ryan. Not sure why Rob is not at 15 as IMHO Sam is better on the wing. Why is Tom not in the squad?
A wins a win, but disappointed in second half performance, to imo a poor side but they got a try bonus, where as we should have put a lot more points on the board and improved our points difference.
We really should have been out of sight by half time I have to say. Played some great high tempo rugby in the first half and they couldn't cope with it. Second half it was always going to be difficult to maintain that playing up the slope and against the elements. They had some big lumps and played to their strengths second half. Think once they get up to speed and on the softer pitches they'll start winning games.
Negatives: -No Balti Pies -Pool table where Pork Baps should be -£2.50 for minute portion chips -bought programme to identify players, no numbers shown in programme -shirt numbers unidentifiable anyway, white on white! -scrum unusually misfiring all game -lineout deteriorated with several overthrown -bit sloppy second half to allow them bonus point
Positives: -Chicken, leek & ham pie acceptable. -Lineout certainly started better -bonus point before half time -some great running rugby -unbelievable skill by Rob Knox, to dive off pitch & fling their penalty back to Sam, ultimately resulting in try -relaxing second half for fans -imho Sam Pointon MoTM -Enjoyed day, brilliant.

With the scrum, Hull were big, but were scrummaging illegally (apparently not driving straight) - especially in the first half which is why so many penalties went against them. They were better (more legal?) in the second half and there was greater parity with Mose arguably beginning to get on top at the end.
A good result, not a great game. Conceding 4 tries against Hull says a lot about the Mose defence at the moment. It was very good for most of the game, but we still conceded a bonus point and lost the second half 24-19.
Sadly the referee didn't seem to fully appreciate what was going on in the scrum.His clear inexperience lead him to think that the heavy Hull front row must have been getting the upper hand on the set which was frustrating to watch. Unfortunately these things sometimes happen and when he looks back at the game he'll hopefully learn from the mistakes he made throughout the game.Well done Moseley for keeping your heads.
You may have missed the prolonged "coaching" that the Hull captain and colleague were offering to the ref as they walked off for half time? Interesting therefore that Hull's scrum "improved" in the second half!! I also saw Mose players getting really frustrasted with the Touch about "goings on" in the scrum and our Coaching bench seemingly distraught, mystified and puzzled by some of the Officials decisions!
Overall, a win is a win but we missed an opportunity to press home our dominance in so many areas of the game early on and again slowed in the second half. We may yet rue yielding a try bonus point and/or not hammering home the scored points tally at the end of the season depending on our position in the Nat 1 table.

I am not sure why we changed caterers as the steak pie I had was absolutely tasteless. All the guys in the car were pork baps fans so we actually talked about bringing our own food for the next match which is ridiculous.
We threw long against Chinnor last week and got it wrong (weather conditions dictated that we should have gone for the simple option). We again lost lineouts by going long on Saturday. It must be so disheartening for the backs when we throw away an advantage so many times.
It was great to see that we didn't kick aimlessly and retained possession which ultimately paid dividends.
Quite. Didn't I hear some moons ago that Cornish Pirates fans rated our 'er Cornish Pasties the best in the Championship? That quality stayed with us until this season!
