Boxing Day - Touch & Walking Rugby & Clubhouse open

Excited to announce our first ever Boxing Day touch & walking rugby day, join in or watch with a pint.

Rugby to take place from 11:30 - 1pm and bar open until 4pm.

It may be glaringly obvious but what exactly does walking rugby entail?

I would call it touch rugby, no running or tackling, passing forward and back, played across the pitch.
I played on Thursdays for a while, until my Knee caused me problems and had to stop. 😢

And there is no upper age limit so anyone who is old enough can play - even girls. And if your knee or your lungs give out before the session finishess there is no shame, you can take a rest, have a quick massage or a puff of fresh air and rejoin. And with superb camaraderie and with a drink and a natter in the club house after, what more could you ask for.

It has been roumoured that Eddie Jones has been spying on the sessions as well.

Is it the case, if the ball is passed to you and your instinct is still to dip your shoulder and run as fast as you can into the oppo', then walking rugby isn't for you yet?😀 Besides, geography is against me.
