Talented Fly Half Returns to the Birmingham Moseley Fold for the 2018/2019 Season
Director of Rugby, Richard Protherough is delighted to announce the signing of a fly half no stranger to the Birmingham Moseley supporters as James Williams re-joins the club following a season with Hartpury in The Championship.
James came through the ranks in his time with Birmingham Moseley having progressed to the first team through the amateur side Moseley Oak. James will have gained significant experience in The Championship playing in 21 games in the league to date. His kicking stats down there show the value he will be with his place kicking. He boasts an 86% success rate in conversions and 79% in penalties.
During his first season at Birmingham Moseley, James made 23 league appearances and scored 238 points, to finish the season fourth in the leagues list of leading points scorers. Williams should not be considered just a kicking fly half as his seven tries saw him fourth in the list of the clubs leading try scorers. Coupled with an ability to create opportunities to bring his fellow backs into play means that James has all the attributes required to support the managements vision of an exciting, attacking brand of rugby.
James will take part in Worcester Warriors pre-season training as part of our close relationship and be available for Birmingham Moseley throughout the season.
