The Birmingham Mail (no longer an Evening paper) is going to hell in a handcart. Trinity Mirror doesn't have the money to keep it up to its old journalistic strength, and the website is a horror show of ads with video and/or pop-ups, so much so that I avoid going there unless it can't be avoided.
The Post is now a weekly paper, and comes out on Thursdays. From my occasional peeks at it, it's mainly aimed at the local business market, and also has loads of social info plus arts reviews. I haven't a clue what its circulation is.
