Moseley bring in new faces to begin their assault in N1

Moseley Rugby announce the arrival of two new faces to Billesley Common both from Championship side, Rotherham Titans.



Jack Preece, a 5ft 9 ins, 102 kg openside flanker, played 71 matches for Rotherham scoring 21 tries. He toured with England Counties in Spain playing in all three matches, and was named player of the tournament. Preece then followed up his Counties success by earning an England 7s central contract in 2012.



James Elliot, a 5ft 11ins, 120kg tighthead prop also makes the trip down from Yorkshire. Elliott will bring valuable insight to National 1 teams with him having spent a period of time at Hull Ionians

Preece is highly rated at Rotherham. We lacked an specialist 7 last season. He can also play hooker but we need someone who can throw their arrows this year if we are to prosper.

James Elliott joined Roth last season from Nat 3 club Old Centralians,
He didn't get the amount of game time he deserved according to the other front row players!!
When he played he looked good and apparently smashed the scrums when on loan with hull in national one
Massive potential, strong prop, quick for his size and a big ball carrier.
I think he will be a great signing for Moseley and Roth have made a big mistake letting him go!!

Ask any Roth supporter and they will tell you that JACK PREECE is one of the best ball stealers in the game bar none,
A absolute pain in the backside for opposing teams, made the dream team last year for the 2nd time at 7 which is a feat in itself.
this season he moved to hooker and missed a large number of games through a neck injury and moved back to 7 at the end of the season.
I go as far to say Jack Preece will be your best signing

James Elliott joined Roth from Old Centralians on the recommendation of Jack Preece. Preece had coached at Old Centralians and, coincidentally, has just been appointed as their Head Coach for next season. Presumably a part-time playing contract with Mose fits in nicely with that role.
