Moseley players commit to the club

Moseley rugby are pleased to announce that Greg Charlton and Drew Cheshire have committed themselves to the club for next season.



Second Row Greg was an ever present in the side last season with 25 appearances, all bar one of which was in the starting XV. 6’ 7” Charlton makes a significant impact in the set piece and is an excellent ball carrier.



Flying Wing Drew is a formidable try scorer who despite picking up an injury that laid him off for a significant part of the season still managed to end the season as the clubs third highest try scorer with eight.



Kevin Maggs said “ I am delighted that both these young players have stuck by the club, both have true potential and will ensure we have some pace in the back line and guile in the forwards”



Kevin is expected to name further signings over the next few days.

The mail have taken a week nearly to put that article out and it is much what the commsteamput out.
Haven't they got young reporters to come to the club and ask questions and write their own words.

Local papers are always cash-strapped. If you can do the reporter's job for them, so much the better, and a well-worded press release will often go out nearly unchanged.

I have found it now. It was covered by a perishing survey - there are more surveys these days than God made little green apples - so I quickly got the survey out of the way and read the article.

By the way I have tried to find a bookie who will give me odds on Moseley Rugby Club winning promotion back into the championship at the first attempt. I think they have learned an expensive lesson with Leicester Football Club because I cannot find a bookie willing to offer odds. However, I will keep looking and if I find one I will let you folks know.
