Oak have hit the half way stage of the season and remain unbeaten. A tough game on Saturday with difficult conditions but a good start saw Oak move in to an early lead but a strong Old Yards scrum caused a few issues for Oak at times and with the underfoot conditions wet, once the drive was on, there was only one way the other side was going to go backwards or down. Whilst Yards held their own in the scrum, they could not cope with Oak's driving mauls and pick up and drives by the Oak forwards resulting in numerous penalties giving Ollie Thomas the opportunity to kick the ball into the 22 and set up the catch and drive which resulted in 5 tries with every forward playing their part in the game plan. So another excellent result and strong performance under the circumstances, well done to everyone who played and keep your feet on the ground and start as if the season is just beginning when back in January and build on the foundations set up to win that promotion to Midlands 1 West. Thank you for all the support on Saturday it is appreciated, have a great Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
Really good and entertaining game. The Team has come on no end with their mix of experience and youth. A really good alternative if you can't get to see the 1St XV. Come on you Mooooose Oak and Mose Fans.
