Moseley are pleased to confirm the signing of fly half Charlie Foley for the 2015/16 season plus the re-signing of full back Mike Penn.
Foley, a player just as comfortable in the centre as wearing the number 10 shirt, will be looking to put pressure on the returning Glyn Hughes for a starting place in the team. Last season Charlie played for Plymouth Albion while also appearing on loan for his home club Clifton.
A reliable goal kicker the 23 year old is also adept at breaking defensive lines with ball in hand. In bringing him to Billesley Common Director of Rugby Kevin Maggs has had to fight off a strong challenge from Albion who were looking for Foley to be the first choice outside half to steer them back to Championship rugby.
Full back Mike Penn will start his third season for Moseley since joining from Edinburgh in 2013. Last season Mike made 24 appearances in red and black, including 7 on the wing where his pace came to the fore in challenging defences out wide. A popular player at the club Mike will be looking to make the full back jersey his own this season.
Looks like another good signing. Reference is made to Mike Penn "looking to make the full back jersey his own this season". Do I take it that Shaggy is not resigning?

Just an observation that Mike had a much stronger season in 2014/15 (in the writers opinion) and will be looking to build on it next time.
This is looking promising. I reckong we probably need another centre, another prop, another lock and perhaps another back row, and maybe that's it. Large squads are all very well, but cost money we don't really have, and if there's no 2nd team action going on then players not used regularly can get bored and demotivated.
Are we continuing the DR arrangement with Saints for another season?
Good question re the DR arrangement. I can't see why we wouldn't but unusual not to see a pre-season game with them - but then the RWC has altered a lot for next season for Prem teams. On that note I imagine we are without our new 2nd row during that?
Looking at the 26 in squad to date we have: Wingers 4. Props 4 Fly halves 2. Back row 4 Centres 4. Second row 3 Scrum halves 2. Hookers 3 In the backs we have several who can cover two positions, less in the forwards. I reckon we need another second row and a prop. If we have the D R arrangement with Saints we usually have about 6 from them which will gives us a squad of 32. Come on Mose.............
