Sunday is Remembrance Day, which means that our annual short outdoor service will be held by the Moseley Rugby Club War Memorial, now located in a peaceful corner of the Moseley Ashfield Cricket Club ground, off Yardley Wood Road.
The service follows the traditional format and, although it is arranged by the MPA, everybody is welcome. Please be at the ground no later than 10.45 am. In case you are not familiar with the MACC ground, it is at the end of a short cul-de-sac off Yardley Wood Road, almost directly opposite the Covered Wagon pub.
After the service, MACC will be serving its usual, modestly priced, excellent English breakfast and the bar will be open.
We hope to see many of you there on this important occasion.
Thank you for the invite Peter. As choir members both Pam and I will be holding our Remembrance service at our church so we will be unable to attend. Mind you the modestly priced, excellent English breakfast does sounds most appealing, but we will not finish our service in time to partake of that offer. We will be at the Scottish game though on Saturday. See you all there.
Come on Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose
Thanks, Phil, and we always appreciate that you and Pam will be participating in the service in the wonderful Edgbaston Old Church at the same time as our (much more modest) affair at MACC!
That's kind Pete and just to let you know that we will be singing Noble's Anthem, Souls of the Righteous; Bishop E.H. Bickersteth's hymn Peace Perfect Peace - Orlando Gibbons setting; and The Revd C Harris's setting of O Valiant Hearts. They are all beautiful and very moving pieces and reflect the sombre mood of the occasion.
We do indeed have an awful lot to be thankful for.
