To be honest I was not going to 'waste' my season tickets by coming to the B&I games as I share the views of Kevin Magg's about these matches however, for a fiver, not only will I come myself but I will attempt to convince as many others as possible to attend.
If all regulars can try to bring at least one other person as well as hopefully publicising the offer to friends and colleagues (plus any publicity the club is able to do) then hopefully we may be able to attract some new supporters to games in the future.
Good idea , but , it could of been taken a step further by making it " kids for a quid " up to 16 , if you only got 5 kids who liked it and joined the juniors it is worth it , plus most teens would buy food and drink whilst at the game , Birmingham is damn big place , we have a World Cup next year , are you telling me there is not another Courtney Laws , out there that couldn't be persuaded to move from his present sport to rugby ? As a Worcs coach once said to me " Find me an athlete and we will turn him into a rugby player " !

How about you sponsoring the kids for a quid then? It will only cost you £80 if you cover the first 20 through the gate......
IMHO the £5 is a great offer from the club and one we should all help promote......and we would (presumably) encourage the parents of these kids to also come so family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) for £20 strikes me as excellent value irrespective of the breakdown between kids\adults.
But not as good value as if we get £12 off them plus food , drink money , then they come back during the season again , the kids join the minis and juniors , whilst paying subs and purchasing kit etc , play their adult rugby there and then bring their families to watch for years to come as it ? Tell you what, Obstruction , lets make the club , invitation only , with funny handshakes , no women allowed and all players must work down the pits !!! Is it really still 1972 ?
I'm not sure what part of my post caused you so much angst........but apologies as it clearly did.
Just for the record I am all in favour of getting as many kids involved as possible, don't have any truck with secret or exclusive societies\clubs and much prefer 2014 to 1972.......and there's no pits left after the 'dear lady' saw to that!
My point is that a (in my opinion) very good offer has been made by the club and deserves our best support. I have no doubt that if you can pull together a plan to attract 'kids for a quid' that the club will give it good consideration - and I'll volunteer to help you if you are up for it.
Of particular note was how RadioWM highlighted us to comparable level football clubs and concluded that even at full price the club represented good value to WM Sports fans.
Anyway.......... rumour has it that we potentially have in our midst a player worth noting for future...........Louis Roach (11)_....no pressure there then. Nice debut for 40mins in game and showed good anticipation and speed. Trust his next debut in Ireland will be in Dublin in white??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Groove , I did mention him back in the summer when he was trialling , my son was in the same Silhilians Colts team as him , he is an outstanding runner , fantastic footwork from a standing start , loves the game , and has a superb attitude , he deserves his chance , another one to watch out for is his mate Sam Montieri , an Italy u19 player , backrower , fast and in your face ! , good to see these local lads getting a chance .
