Dual registered players from Northampton.

Are we likely to see any of the Northampton players in the Ealing game this Saturday.

I did go but unfortunately did not have a program so unnamable to give names.
I felt their pace in the backs is what did us in the end so some pacey backs would not go amiss, as our forwards looked fairly competitive.Our scrum did not go backwards and our line out was a slight improvement on game at Ebbw Vale.

Hi both.. We spoke to Caolan at the cricket game a few weeks ago. His impression was that we would receive a forwards biased set of D/R's this season with maybe a single back. No names were mentioned. One of the very knowledgable Saints fans mentioned a couple of very promising young forwards, names escape me, that may join us along with possibly Sam Olver. 

We wait with bated breath!

I think Packman Senior was a prolific try scorer for Northamton in the 80's and junior is an England under 20's player I think.

I'd be surprised if we only have 1 back in the DRs. We only have 10 backs in the squad at the moment and we've got reasonable cover in the forwards. Waller and Warren have been the exceptions but the DR arrangement seems to work better for backs as the step up to Championship level for young forwrds is vast.

Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi and Josh Skelcey from Northampton were involved in last night's training session, photo shoot and team photograph.

The club has not finalised the D/R agreement for this season. Some Saints Academy players have been training with the 1st XV but this is no indication of their availability.

Given the season proper has now started, can the Comms Team advise if we are any closer to being told who are the dual registered players?

Unfortunately as yet no we are unable to confirm.

I see that 'our' dual registered Adam Parkins is now playing for Coventry.

Strange because we have been short of proos and with Warren looking to be out for longer we could do with him. Don't think he has be in any team line up this season.
