2 excellent players at opposite ends of their playing careers.

Both will be hard to replace.

Perhaps Bristol will loan Olly back to us if they are promoted, as I can't see him getting much game time otherwise ...

We must be doing something right with coaching at Moseley because we have an ability to encourage and develop the potential of inexperienced players to the extent that they all too often become attractive to the full time professional and premiership clubs. And whilst it does unquestionably have it's rewards for we loyal supporters of Moseley, none-the-less, it does come with a lot of heartache at well when, at times, our championship status is at stake.

However, without being at all presumptuous I feel sure that Kevin and Dave, should they stay with us, will find other "nuggets" out there in the wider rugby fraternity and persuade then to join our club.

I always thought Brizzl were favs for Olly R. Will really miss Matt and trust Kevin has it claused that he cannot play v Moseley !

Really looks difficult for KM and DH. One good season and the vultures are around. Fact of Life.

Recruiting and developing young players from the National Leagues before losing them to higher-placed and better funded clubs is part and parcel of life for a number of clubs in the Championship - not just Mose. Take a look at the experiences of Rotherham, Plymouth, Nottingham and others over the past few years, as well as our own.

Very sad to see both Ben Evans and Olly Robinson leave. I wish them all the very best though. They both gave their everything in all of the performances I witnessed. They will be extremely difficult to replace. But Maggs has proven how resourceful he is when it comes to recruitment. In Kevin Maggs we trust!

Are we planning on 'cherry picking' other clubs? I see Plymouth have plundered a prop from Hartpury and one from Jersey. How about grabbing Chesters from Ealing or the best from Rosslyn Park or Esher?

The subject of Phil Chesters has been discussed previously on 'Rolling Maul' when he scored 42 tries in a season two years ago (he scored 70 tries the season before that), but he apparently has no aspirations to play elsewhere.

With his try-scoring record I'm sure that he could have his pick of Championship clubs if he decided to move on.

And we would need to be quick with Esher. One of their props has already signed for London Scottish.

Talking to the resident Trailfinders fan in my office my understanding is that Ealing intend to do a Donny and have full funding guaranteed for next season to attempt to come back up. OK, you can't legislate for people wanting to play at a higher level, but no one's being offloaded or taking a pay cut there unless it's because Ealing don't think they're good enough.

The resident Rosslyn Park member in my office says they were nervous about getting promoted as they weren't ready for it on or off the pitch, so maybe there might be someone there to have a look at.

This is my first post by the way - I used to go up the Reddings before I went to university in 1999 and this season went to Billesley Common for the first time when at home visiting the parents in sunny Worcs - once out of curiosity, then another 3 times after that! Given it's a 160 mile round trip at least these days I can't get up there every week, but I have bought a brick, and a shirt, and a hat, and a car sticker, (one item per match - I didn't just loot the shop) to promote the red and black in the heathen south, and will be joining the MSA....

I've read the Mail report on Olly Robinson's move to Bristol and I was touched by his candour and honesty and that he said he could never say never to playing again for MOSELEY.

Good luck Ollie. We need more honest players in the game and I feel sure that you will never, ever be a third selection 'premiership' player who would prefer to sit on his bum rather than play rugby.

Come on Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooose.

If they get promoted the loan option back to Mosley would be an option but they have to get passes London Welsh first in the Upcoming final.
