Sorry to say..."same old same old" im afraid and like others have said its about time certain people realized we are in deep you know what and fronted up to do something about it!
The forwards did a reasonable job today especially in the scrum but yet again the backs were deprived of any real decent ball as they have been all season. Poor decision making at vital times yet again! Players playing out of position yet again! Failing to execute promising attacking situations yet again! Its just the same, game after game.
I find it quite amazing that people are still saying that all we have to do is beat Jersey and Doncaster at home and all will be well.......well.........its time to wake up and smell the coffee people!.....Its half way through the season and we havent won a single home game in the league so why will we beat Jersey and Donny? believe me...it is certainly not a forgone conclusion!
It hasnt worked.....end of story!! There is no doubt we have good players but if they cant play together, then they are useless to us.
Anybody who was at Scottish last week witnessed real frustration in the players....that was even more obvious today. Personally im getting fed up of hearing the coaches saying "we are almost there".....No we arent!! Its been a depressing season and now with even more injuries to cope with it doesnt look like getting any better and certainly no easier after a welcome break for the B and I cup.
Again Sam Brown has been a shining light this season and fully deserved his player of the month congrats to him! But who else has shone? Ponsy started off great but has faded recently. Buster has played well a fair bit but to be honest that was when he was playing second row. Lockley...ok.....Carter...pretty good at times. Waggy showed we still need him today and again... im still going to bang on about Wilkes starting at hooker! All in all the half way report just says "HUGELY DISAPPOINTING" Lets hope for better things in the second half!
