All very well, but I'm unconvinced of the wisdom of playing other teams in the same division in pre-season games. We did it last season because of Covid, but that doesn't apply any more, does it?

Could be cost saving, as before covid we would play a Welsh championship side that may have involved an overnight stay. I'd prefer this than us playing a side at a higher level and getting stuffed.

There are some from last season that we haven't heard about yet. Off the top of my head:

Ashley Johnson (assumme he'll still be coaching, but has he hung up his playing boots?)

Actually we haven't heard anything about centres, so perhaps that will cover the last three.

I REALLY want Tonks to stay, but we've got to be the sort of club where he can progress for that to happen. For too long we've lost people because they're 'too good' to play for us, sometimes even to teams in the same division! Just keeping a more settled squad is something of a triumph, so hopefully we're moving in the right direction.
