It was certainly our best performance of the season at their place, but now 4 months later how the picture has changed. I hope the win last week will be a turning point and we can put a performance in to win. Ground could be heavy so not sure if that will suit us or not. Having a recognised fly half helps.

Caldy beat Cinderford on Saturday which is no mean feat but afer watching the Blackheath highlights I was impressed by the combined performance of lads up front and even more impressed with the loose play and clean break support play with the backs which certainly contributed to the three tries. There has been the odd game this season where good support play has been evident here and there but generally, over the last few seasons, combined up front performanceand along with good backs support play has been conspicuous by its absence.
Support play has untold benefits not least because it gives the attacking side a whole variety of options but also because it can pull a defence out of shape and that increases the attacking options. Good support players needs a level of unselfish fitness and awareness because whislt the scorer gets the glory the support player/s tend not to. But there is fitness and there is fitness. Plodding around for hours on end is one thing but having the fitness and energy to be at, or close to the point of action throughout the match is another.
Moseley can produce some impressive performances, They are also blessed to have some key players who have that unquestionable and unselfishness fitness level to provide outstanding support play. If Moseley continue that combination of up front pressure and loose play, clean break support then they have every chance of securing a truly rewarding bonus try win on Saturday.

Since we beat them in mid-September Caldy have lost only one game - and that to league leaders Rosslyn Park. I'm sure that we can beat them, but it will be a notable result if we do.
