Colin McFadyean's slowly improving

If you receive - and even read! - Moseley Matters, you will know that Moseley Legend Colin McFadyean has been seriously ill and in hospital for some seven weeks. I had an update this morning and am pleased to report that Colin is continuing to make slow but steady progress. He is now able to walk unaided and his right eye, which had the shingles infection, is starting to open up, although it will not be known what vision he has from it until the ophthalmic people come in after the weekend.
Apparently Colin has displayed his “stroppy” side on a few occasions recently (I've been on the receiving end of those at The Reddings occasionally!), which Jeanette McFadyean and Colin's great friend of 60 years, Alan Craddock, who is now updating me, consider to be an encouraging sign!
Discharge from hospital seems to be getting closer, although the end of June is probably still realistic. I can provide contact details for Alan and Jeanette should anyone want them for a card or message.
