Great to see the game again. None of the players are still at Mose. Harry and Ed are at Cinderford, Tom I think is at Chinnor, Chris, Adam, Greg and Tim have retired. Jacques has recently left to go to South Africa but where are the others?

Only just got round to watching this game. Thank you WCMose, enjoyed.
Bill McLaren always got the positive press, but I rated Nigel Starmer-Smith very highly as a commentator. Good job here.

I was not at match, looked great occasion. The two injurys to stalwarts Nutt & Corless probably cruical to final result.

Similar to so so many games over recent years for Moseley, not picking up enough points when on top & conceding late to be squeezed out at end.

Two incidents I noticed that perhaps someone can help with.
- Leicester played seemed to claim a mark well outside '25' first half??
- Dusty Hair taped free kick to himself & dropped goal. Excellent, is that still allowed? If so why don't we see more often?.
(another repeat of 'that' Ollie drop goal at Billesley - welcome!)
- Plus was there a reason Leicester wore letters on shirts? Pretty Cool.

In those days you could claim a mark anywhere on the field and Dusty Hare's tap to himself was perfectly legal. The law was later changed so that another player had to play the ball after a free kick before a dropped goal could be scored.

Leicester traditionally wore letters as did Bristol, although bizarrely in different orders-one starting at fullback and the other at prop. There were other numbering quirks-until the mid 1960's most sides started with number 1 at fullback and went forward from there, while a number of teams, including Moseley, did not have a number 13 shirt.
