During the small talk after the Moseley Rugby Club AGM I commented to a Moseley Rugby Club board official that the price of the Friday, 20th September, David Campese event was well outside the pocket of many Moseley Supporters. I suggested that perhaps a pair of tickets could be made available to raffle off, at say £5 per raffle ticket, which would serve a dual purpose; A, it would give those who could not afford a full price entry, such as Pam and I, the chance of securing tickets and B, the raffle could, more likely than not, raise substantially more funds to the benefit of Moseley Rugby Club than the face value of two tickets.
If memory serves me correct it was after the Hull home fixture had been won - and won well - that the same Moseley Rugby Club board official singled me out and informed that he had personally given two tickets for the David Campese event to the MSA and that my suggestion of raffling the tickets was a distinct possibility.
I have no recollection at all of seeing any message on the Moseley Forum, or anywhere in the club house for that matter, that two David Campese tickets, given to the MSA, were to be raffled off.
