Jonnoisgod I don't think I explained myself very well. We're still in a relegation dogfight and hes flounces off to play in an A fixture, 2 days after we play plymouth.Best of luck to the guy Its just the timing of it I find disrespectful. And I'm not referring to Lewis in that respect
If you spoke to 90% of the players regarding ‘respect’ at Moseley this season I think they'd have a few words for you. Proth amongst others lost the respect of the majority of the players last season and completely lost the changing room by preseason. The inability to communicate, listen and talk to any of the players respectfully, poor strategies and game management (players often tried to speak up but were shot down aggressively). He chose his starting team based on favouritism rather than ability and his patronising way of communicating closed the door to most of our best players which is reflected by the amount of loyal players who would now rather look elsewhere. Speak to Cavesy over the way he was turfed out last year, speak to Bournville about the way our management spoke to them (even though they were loaning us players), the board were aware of the animosity between players and coaches for a long time but did nothing to act, the saving grace has been Colin and Tim’s relationship with players.
It’s absolutely mind blowing to hear from supporters on here that Proth was not sacked as DOR and that he stepped down, he was, he gave a speech to players about being sacked. Yet he has been kept on to sign next seasons team, for a man who is openly resentful of the club and it’s players I am clueless as to why he now has free reign of signings. Only one player at Moseley has been offered a new contract so far and we’re in April, the others have heard nothing, it leaves no option for players to look elsewhere.
Beany is a great player and has always been grateful of the opportunity Moseley gave him, he is bound by his contract to Saints to play the A games this season, this was non negotiable and refusing to do so would have cost him his premiership contract. No player in their right mind would have turned his opportunity down. So to say he or any of the players are disrespecting the club this season is a joke.
How would you know MWalker? Who are you to speak on behalf what boys feelings are toward coaches and management? You moan about Proth having free reign over signings, are you forgetting the boys he brought in? Allslopp, Wrafter, Tyack, Roach, Bean, Cowen, Poole, Williams, Fatiaki, Lewis, Maloney, Hayward, wouldn’t mind another batch of those boys coming in. What makes you think that Colin’s relationship is so god with the boys?
Would have to agree with returnoftheroll for this. I think recruitment wise Proth has done an excellent job. You just have to look and the boys he’s brought in and where they are progressing and going to next season! I think he has been unfairly criticised and should not be taking all the blame. In terms of actual game tactics and playing style, then you have to look at the head coach who has more input and involvement.
I think a lot of it comes down to injuries. No team could sustain the injuries we have had this season with guys out long term from day one. Think Aedon, James, Roachy all out long term and a host of others. You just can't accomodate for that with a relatively small squad.

A well written and honest post ,nothing that I hadn't been told a while go unfortunately.
Unfortunately not far from the very truth. When your DOR and coach tell you you’re dropped for two totally different reasons that don’t add up you know you’re in trouble

Again, you’re making your comments on something that you’ve heard... how do you know that’s an honest post? Things that you’ve been told, so not your own views then? Did you take a consensus from all the players? Or are you just going on what one person has told you and taken it as gospel?
