“MOSELEY v LONDON WELSH – ‘MAGNIFICENT 6’ AT BILLESLEY”
RFU Championship: Moseley v London Welsh, Saturday 8th October
Kick off 3pm at Billesley Common Birmingham B13
After last weekend’s visit to London Scottish, Moseley have another ‘Exiles’ team to contend with this Saturday when they welcome table-topping London Welsh to Billesley Common.
The RFU Championship fixture will be the focal point of a packed rugby weekend at Billesley Common. Activities start on Saturday with the early morning screening of the iRB World Cup Quarter Finals and end Sunday lunchtime with the annual ‘Fruit & Veg auction’ after home fixtures for Moseley’s thriving junior section against Willenhall.
In between….the club’s amateur sister club Moseley Oak entertain Burntwood in Midlands 2 on Saturday afternoon, whilst on Sunday the women’s team visit Lutterworth and the Minis (Under 12s to Under 7s) travel en masse to Walsall for their first fixtures of the season and two of the junior age groups visit Willenhall.
There’s plenty laid on for spectators at Billesley Common with the season’s first ‘Real Ale Festival’ and a Pig Roast starting around noon on Saturday and ending in the evening with the legendary rock vocalist Steve Gibbons.
The clubhouse will open for the ‘late’ morning kick offs in the Quarter Finals on both Saturday and Sunday (both matches 8.30pm UK time) and offer a great value breakfast to start the day!
World Cup Breakfast – just £3.50!
The ‘new’ Moseley Rugby Breakfast has proven a great hit with the regulars and visitors are very welcome to simply ‘turn up’ – no booking required and enjoy a full English for only £3.50.

The clubhouse has numerous large TVs including a 2 metre Big Screen.

The real ales making their appearance for the weekend include:
Pedigree; Hobgoblin; Cumberland Ale; Brakspear Bitter; Ringwood Boondoggle and Jennings Laughing Gravy..............all a perfect accompaniment to the Hot Pig Roast available from noon.
Staying late?
In the evening the legendary Birmingham rock vocalist Steve Gibbons is the star turn in the clubhouse. Tickets £7.50
