We are sorry to report that Les Smith, a stalwart of the Moseley sides of the Club's 'Golden Era', died of cancer on Wednesday 12th March.
The funeral will be on Friday 21st March and all the details are in the email below from Les's wife Fassie, including a request for a reply from anyone attending the wake after the service:
"To celebrate his vibrant and colourful life I would like to invite you to attend his final farewell which will take place at the Milton Chapel (signposted and has its own car park), Chilterns Crematorium, Whielden Lane, Amersham, Bucks, HP7 0ND at 10 am on Friday 21st March followed by a gathering at the Black Lion, Woodlands Drive, Naphill, Bucks, HP14 4SH from 11.30am.
"This is very much a celebration of his life and I would like to encourage guests to make this a joyful occasion so black tie is not essential but smiles and laughter are.
"Rather than flowers Laurence would prefer donations to Iain Rennie Hospice Care or Cancer Research. Please RSVP so I can arrange numbers for catering and please pass this information on to any persons you feel would like to join us.
"Kind regards and I look forward to sharing some memories with you soon."
