Pete came off early last week with a shoulder tweak. Will Biggs did fine as his replacement.
Slightly better second half in that we denied them a bonus point, but our scrum was up against it, line-out was poor. It looked like we were in for try at the death but the final pass was poor.
Onwards and upwards.. Sounds like we missed Austin's line out throwing and experience. Always a tricky place to get a result at the best of times conditions not in our favour and we are after all a work in progress. As long as we keep improving we'll be ok.It's about building a platform to challenge for promotion next season in my (uninformed) opinion
The Albion twitter seemed to highlight..our knock ons..lost line outs..lost scrumms...penalties. I read that last minute move to their line went forward, missing a losers bonus.
I think we have missed out on 4 bonus WINNERS points this season. But how good we are talking about BONUS points rather than shoring up about hravy defeats.
....and how good is the effort of the Squad to turn up at the kids training input today.

Pam and I were at the Plymouth game on Saturday and we were - well, I was - disappointed with the Moseley performance, particularly in the first half. Granted a rather boggy pitch didn't help but Moseley had only themselves to blame. For a start there was far too much aimless kicking - by both sides. I cannot understand why teams feel it necessary to 'routinely' give away possession with little thought of the consequences. Is it a lack of confidence in playing with the ball in hand, or a preference for defending without the ball.
And the quality of the Moseley kicking from hand was decidedly inferior as time after time kicks were charged down. Indeed it was the direct result of one charge down early in the game that Plymouth scored their first try.
There are numerous ways to 'protect' a kick ahead and fine clear space to kick but not once did I see any evidence.
And the Moseley line out was very dysfunctional and inferior to Plymouth throughout the entire match. Indeed on two occasion Moseley had a five yard attacking line-out and they lost them both.
And the Moseley butter fingers seems to have taken a good hold of late. Gone was the champagne rugby demonstrated at the Hull fixture, where finger tip catches and slick inter-passing had 'Ull' mesmerised.
Time and again Moseley made even half a break but knocked on. Indeed one clear break towards the end where a two on one and simple pass out was a certain try, what happened? A knock on.
And the try try that Aquile 'conceded' was very unfortunate because Aquile had it well covered but the luck of the bounce simply took the ball away clean from him and straight into the Plymouth player.
Moseley certainly tightened up in the second half and on that second half performance alone they should have won the match - had they not kept losing the ball either in the tackle or in open play or at the attacking line-out.
Pam and I will be there on Saturday - I won't get there till nearly half time due to work, so Pam will keep my seat warm for me - but I certainly don't want to arrive and see Moseley umpteen points down - yet again - at half time.
So Moseley, you've had 10 games so far to get yourselves sorted out, so give us a good win and something to cheer about.
