This is (almost!) the last call for bookings for Burns Night on Friday 18th January.
Bookings have gone well and we are heading towards an attendance of a hundred, including members of the two bands. Our target is to have a hundred or more paying guests, so your support in achieving this will be greatly appreciated.
To recap, Burns Night follows the same pattern as last year, which was a most enjoyable evening, with a superb performance by pipes and drums from the acclaimed West Midlands Fire Service Pipe Band, music for dancing by the Mad Molly Country Dance Band, which had everyone on the dance floor, the usual entertaining toasts, an excellent meal and a really good atmosphere. All this is for only £25.00 a head – no more than we charged five years ago, but including much more! For sheer value for money, it surely doesn't get any better than that!
For bookings, please use the revised booking form you see below, not the original. Please remember that bookings close on Friday of this week so, to avoid disappointment, do sort your places, half tables or tables of eight out very soon.
Although Burns Night is not intended as a fundraising event, the raffle is important to make sure that we finish 'on the right side' financially. If anyone can spare anything appropriate, it will be greatly appreciated. Raffle items can be left in the Club Office or behind the Clubhouse Bar for me to collect. Please be sure to leave your name and contact details too.
In anticipation, many thanks for your support.
