Headline from the BBC website: "RFU predicts 'challenging time' after £30.9m loss and making 54 staff redundant."
How can such poor management be tolerated at the top of the game and surely a proportion of the £220m agreement with professional clubs would be better spent lower down the pyramid? I hope some senior management posts make up some of the 54 redundancies rather than just the 'foot soldiers'.
Yes Westcountry Mose I read this too. In some research I found this information was released in August - as I read on Tring Rugby website. The information then indicated that of 62 redundancies 30 odd were in the community rugby area. The most recent statement of this week seems to omit this point. So it would seem based on that there will still be plenty of tie and white shirt brigade at HQ to comfort you over your Beef Wellington and usher you to your main stand centre line row f seat for the home internationals - that is if you are unable to attend Billesley hospitality for the Feb/March home games during which period we have 2 reserve week-ends in any case. Tell me what is the latest costings to attend an England Twickers 6 Nations game? What's more, to compare, what's the cost of enjoying a great afternoon at a BMRFC home game? - real beer, real food, real rugby etc.
