So the name of the game is....how many points will we come away with for the rest of our October fixtures...2 away 1 home....mmmm. what about 7 for starter...?...
Unless Moseley get their game management sorted out I can see October being a bleak month.
I think it is doubtful to expect anything from either Rosslyn Park or Blackheath and although Sale FC is a home game it is yet another unknown 'new team' - and Moseley have an abysmal record against 'established' new teams, let alone 'unknown' new teams.
My heart would love to see some points being gathered in October but my head cannot relate to that.
However, the adage "always expect the unexpected" might just work ........IF and it is a big IF Moseley begin to demonstrate an ability to sort out their game management.
Who knows, expecting the unexpected just ......might .......happen........
I'll go with 5 points and all of them from the Sale game because already the home games are becoming a must-win.
Both recent and long term performances down south are by and large disappointing and frequently dreadful. Rosslyn Park were relegation candidates last December but still beat us and I thought the scoreline flattered us. Blackheath looked like world beaters early last season at Billesley but we looked better in the return defeat. So far this season on results Park look much improved and Blackheath less so.
Would be delighted to be proven wrong and pick up something from the away days.
