Due to competing work commitments with his new role at Royal Grammar School Worcester and his role as Head Coach of Birmingham Moseley, Simon Cross has stepped down from his role at the club.
Richard Protherough, Director of Rugby said:
"I would like to thank Simon immensely for his commitment over the last 18 months with Birmingham Moseley, he is a fantastic coach and top bloke. He will be sorely missed by the players and coaching staff. I wish him all the very best with his role with RGS Worcester and I’m sure they will start producing a conveyor belt of talented rugby players, who work hard and have great character"
Simon Cross said:
“It is with great sadness that I leave my role at Birmingham Moseley. The players have been fantastic over the last 18 months and I will miss working with them. I would also like to thank Richard and all the other Coaches and Staff for their time, support and effort. Thank you all, you have been a pleasure to work with.”
On a positive note the club is pleased to confirm that fans favourite Neil Mason is returning to Birmingham Moseley to assist in coaching the forwards. Wag, as he is known to all at the club, brings a wealth of rugby experience to the role having played over 250 games in red and black during ten seasons, including being part of 2009 EDF Trophy winning team. Known for his uncompromising approach to the game he will drive the already formidable pack to new heights.
