Birmingham Moseley sign up two new powerhouses on the wing
Richard Protherough, Director of Rugby, has again been busy at work signing two young gifted players with the aim to inject pace and power to the back line.
The first is winger Taraiasi Wara, a Fijian returning to the UK from New Zealand where he has been playing for the Waitohi Club in the coastal town of Picton in the South Island.
23 Year old Taraiasi previously played a couple of seasons in France for US Marmande in Federal 2 of The French Division Championship and the Brive Academy.
In his younger years he learned his rugby on English soil at Hartpury College when he represented England Colleges at Under 19 level. Wara stands at 6ft 2ins, weighing in at 15st 7lbs.
Joining Taraiasi in the back three is another strong running winger Aedan Moloney, standing at 6ft 3ins with a powerful 15st 11lbs frame.
Aedan began his rugby career playing for Middlesbrough, transferring to Novocastrians RUFC in 2015 when he moved to Newcastle. For the last two seasons he has been on Tynedale RFC books while regularly turning out for Northumbria University in the BUCS Super Rugby League, where he has been studying for a Masters degree in Engineering Management.
Aedan has represented Newcastle Falcons in the Premiership A league and played for Northumberland County Senior team for the past 2 years. He has also represented England Students Sevens in the Super Sevens Series.
Aedan said “I am very happy to be joining the club as I am really looking forward to playing rugby in a full time role for a team that has clear goals of progressing further up the leagues and pushing for promotion.”
Director of Rugby, Richard Protherough said "I'm pleased to welcome Aedan and Taz to the club. Both are young wingers, that are packed full of potential and with the right development will give us balance in our backline between pace and power."
