"...new lads who will be coming in..." No disrespect to the guys who have played No.10 for us this season but please can we have an experienced fly-half next season? Whilst he was not a 10, I can remember the benefit of having Daren O'Leary play for us when we were in a similar situation a few years ago.
Advantages - likely to be fit and well-trained. Disadvantages - risk of unavailability at short notice for indeterminate periods of active service. May all be absent at once.
Not wholly against the idea, but we've seen how it can work/not work this seaston.

Well folks. For those who didn't go to Plymouth you missed an absolute treat of a match played on a beautiful spring day. Moseley were more than marginally the better team but they lost, at the death, in the 87th minute yet again. It was a superb, thoroughly entertaining performance where every single player in the Moseley team played their part. It was a joy to watch.
Plymouth started the stronger scoring a converted mauling try within 2 mins or so. Moseley responded with a penalty before Plymouth, on around 12 minutes, scored a second well taken opportunist converted try down the right wing. It was not as if Moseley were playing badly, far from it; they were playing some very attractive rugby and making quite a few breaks which were only stopped by a scrambling Plymouth defence. On around 25 minutes or so Laurence Cowen broke clean through, rounded the full back and dotted the ball near the posts for a converted try. Shortly after that Sam Pointon came inside, took a super pop up pass and scampered under the post for a second converted try. It was a superb first half where the Moseley, in the tight, dominated the Plymouth pack and where the Moseley back row had a field day - particularly in the first half. Moreover, Aaron Crofts made one superb clean break - very reminiscent of James Rodwell of yore - outstripping most of the Plymouth three quarters for half the pitch before he was caught. If only he had been able to get the ball out to support on his left.
The Moseley line out was not quite as steady as Plymouth but they still held their own reasonably well. And Plymouth were marginally the more threatening with the old "white line fever" whereas Moseley did create pressured but did not quite have the same control. There were some superb clean breaks from Moseley, more than I have probably seen all season AND they were all well supported.
Moseley can take great comfort from this performance. They constantly threatened Plymouth scoring a superb second half try to lead 21 - 24 at 87 minutes - yes 86 minutes. And then Moseley made another clean break only to be penalised up for crossing. Plymouth kicked for touch, took the line out worked the ball infield, laid siege to the Moseley line but a determined Moseley defence held them out. And then on 87 minutes Rob Lewis was given a yellow for allegedly intentionally knocking the ball forward, a scramble ensued, an overlap on the right was created and Plymouth scored in the corner.
And there you are. Another game where Moseley "Won" but tuther side took the spoils, yet again.
All the same things are looking really good for next season.
