LS join the new movement that many of us had foreseen many months ago including our Directors. Read Rolling Maul contributions and article in The Scotsman re London Scottish conversion to part-time status.
While its no laughing matter I did notice LS's ad in mid-March for a Full Time Senior Performance Analyst - with weekend and overnight expenses. Maybe a change of Job Description coming up here! (Could this have been a Business Performance Analyst).
Seriously, I am pleased that they have seen the light before a London Welsh situation arose and made these steps to ensure continuity of a great Club just like our Directors- with foresight.
In reading the article, while they have endeavours to retain and maintain their SFU connection with young Scot development players arrangements, that may cease, a line goes, if LS cannot maintain a serious Championship challenge or as a consequence of not maintaining Championship status.
I don't know how all this affects the ex BHam Mose players who signed for them not long ago??
Of course one has to consider that The Scotsman offered up no direct quotes (as far as I can read) while the more recent London Scottish Club site gives no mention to "semi-pro" status (here we go semi-pro/part time??) just a message of delight that new blood is coming into the Club at Chair etc level.
I think a few more championship clubs will go the same way. Did I read somewhere that they will be able to have upto 10 players on loan/dr from premiership clubs.
